Striped bass are active, with fish ranging from schoolies to over 40 inches. Jigging and casting topwater lures have been the most effective, particularly near the west end.

Cape Cod Bay is heating up for flounder fishing, especially between Dennis and Truro in about 40 feet of water. Sea worms, clam, and mussels are working well. Striped bass up to 45 inches are also being caught using topwater lures and light tackle.

Buzzards Bay and Nantucket Sound are holding strong numbers of striped bass and black sea bass. Stripers, including fish in the 30- to 40-pound range, are showing up regularly. Black sea bass action continues to improve, with a good mix of sizes and plenty of keepers.
